1. Statement signature

The condition for accommodation is a signature of the statement for the prevention and spread of infection with COVID 19. The statement can only be signed online with the digital identity of um.si. The link can be found on the Student Dormitories website. Those tenants who are not students of the University of Maribor (Alma Mater, Faculty of Theology of University of Ljubljana) will receive a written statement in the Student Office.

2. Disinfection and protective masks

Hand disinfection is mandatory before entering the dorm and the floor.
Wearing a mask indoors is mandatory.
Each student is obliged to provide a protective mask himself.

3. Use of elevators and the use of stairs

Only one person can use the elevator at the time.
When using the staircase, a social distance of at least 1.5 m is mandatory.

4. Accommodation in rooms and migration between dorms

Visiting other dorms is prohibited.
Visits by non-residents are prohibited and means a serious violation of the Regulations of the Rules of Student Dormitory of the University of Maribor.
Overnight stays at are prohibited and represent a serious violation of the Regulations of the Rules of Student Dormitory of the University of Maribor.

Students must air their rooms and common areas several times a day.

5. Use of common areas, kitchen and bathrooms, parties, gatherings and socializing

Socializing in common areas is prohibited.

Parties in common areas and in areas intended for entertainment are prohibited. In case of violations, the Management of Student Dormitories will act in accordance with Article 61 of the Regulations of the Rules of Student Dormitory of the University of Maribor (suspension).

Wearing a mask in common areas is mandatory.

Only 3 students can be in the kitchen and common areas at the same time with a distance of at least 1.5 m between them.

Bed linen can be changed according to the schedule, students must wear a protective mask and have a physical distance of at least 1,5 m.

Any kitchenware left in the kitchen on the kitchen counter or in the sink will be thrown away.

There can be only one person in the bathroom at the time.

6. Measures in case of signs of disease

If you notice signs or symptoms (fever, cough, shortness of breath that characterizing pneumonia), stay in the room and avoid contact with other people.

You should consult your chosen personal physician on the phone. If it is not available, call the nearest emergency clinic where you will receive further instructions.

If you have been referred for testing by your personal or on-duty doctor, you must immediately inform the administration of the Student Dormitories of the University of Maribor, on the number 031 38 22 77 and also on the email: Ta e-poštni naslov je zaščiten proti smetenju. Za ogled potrebujete Javascript, da si jo ogledate.. You are also obliged to inform us, on the same contacts, about the test result immediately or no later than 1 hour after receiving the result of the test. Not notifying the Management of Student Dormitories about the result of the test is an omission that could endanger the life or health of other students and employees of the institution, which is a serious violation in accordance with Article 54 of the of the Regulations of the Rules of Student Dormitory of the University of Maribor.

In the case of a positive test on COVID-19, the tenant is obliged to carry out the isolation at home, at his permanent address. Exceptionally, in accordance with the spatial possibilities, the isolation, in agreement with the Management of Student Dormitories, can be carried out in the Student Dormitories. International students have an advantage. Follow the Instructions for people with COVID-19 confirmed infection with SARS-CoV-2 in home isolation (instructions in Slovenian and English are attached).

As soon as you know that you are infected, immediately inform your contacts from the last two days before the appearance of symptoms, that they have been in contact with a person positive for SARS-CoV-2. At the same time, you must strictly follow the Instructions for people who have been exposed to a new coronavirus infection (instructions in the Slovenian language are attached).

In case that you will carry out the insulation at home, you must immediately after notifying the Student Dormitories Administration on the COVID telephone number, pack your personal belongings that you will take home and leave the student dormitory. If you do not have the option of going home immediately, and you are waiting for transportation, you must go to the so called waiting room, the location of which you will be informed by the Management of Student Dormitories. Keep order in the waiting room, in accordance with the Special instructions for living in isolation, quarantine or waiting rooms of the Student Dormitories of the University of Maribor.

7. Instructions for people who have been exposed to a new coronavirus

Avoid any unnecessary contact with other people for 14 days after exposure to the new coronavirus infection. Especially, contacts with the elderly, those with chronic diseases and those who have a weakened immune system (cardiovascular disease, respiratory diseases, diabetes, impaired kidney function, cancer treatment ...). They have a higher risk of a more severe course of the disease.

Monitor your health closely for a period of 14 days. If you experience symptoms or signs of covid-19 during this time (feeling unwell, colds, cough, fever, shortness of breath, headache, muscle aches, loss of smell or taste, sore throat…), stay in the room and call personal or doctor on duty, where you will receive further instructions.

Follow the recommendations to prevent the spread of SARS-CoV-2 infection:

• Avoid contact with people who show signs of an infectious disease.
• Maintain an interpersonal distance of at least 2 meters.
• Do not touch your eyes, nose and mouth.
• Wash our hands regularly with soap and water.
• If water and soap are not available, use a dedicated hand disinfection to disinfect your hands. The ethanol content of the hand disinfection should be at least 60%. Hand disinfection is for external use only. Surface cleaners / disinfectants are not intended to clean / disinfect the skin.
• We recommend the use of masks in accordance with the Recommendations for the use of masks during the spread of SARS-CoV-2 infection.
• Avoid enclosed spaces where large numbers of people are staying.
• Take care of regular ventilation of enclosed spaces.

 

8. Control of implementation of instructions

Controls over the implementation of the instructions will be carried out by employees from Student office, receptionists and housekeepers, who also have the right to identify students. In case of serious violation and threat to the general danger, the authorized security service and the health inspection will act against them.
